Roseville Dental Academy offers a variety of dental courses. Come learn the skills needed to work in a dental office in a live practice.
Our dental assisting program is designed to be completed in just 8 weeks. The program prepares students for an entry-level position in a dental office. All lectures and hands on learning will be done in our office at Waikiki Dental or Sacramento Dental Medicine office. We keep class sizes small for a better teacher student focus. Our goal is to set students up for success by teaching you exactly what the staff at the dental office will expect you to know. Our accelerated program totals 8 weeks (210 hours) of combined class, clinical, and homework. Classes meet on Mondays from 9-5 with one day of assigned externship. Radiation Safety Course included.

Our administration program is designed to be completed in just 8 weeks. The program prepares students for an entry-level position in a dental office. All lectures and hands on learning will be done both, online and in office. We keep class sizes small for a better teacher student focus. Our goal is to set students up for success by teaching you what the staff at the dental office will expect you to know. Our accelerated program totals 8 weeks (120 hours) of combined online, clinical, and some homework. Classes meet on Mondays from 9-2 with one day of assigned externship. This course also includes Radiation Safety Course which will be of great value as an employee of a dental office.

This course is designed to meet the standards of the California Dental Board for an unlicensed dental assistant who is required by the State of California to take an 8-hour course in Infection Control within 120 days of employment in a dental office. (provider number IC157). This course includes didactic, laboratory, and clinical application of cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of dental office equipment and instruments. This course, is generally offered on Fridays, and is on a space limited basis. Prerequisite: BLS Certification AHA or ARC, ask us about BLS requirements.

This course is designed to meet the standards of the California Dental Board for the operation of radiographic equipment (provider number X899). This course includes 32 hours of didactic, laboratory, and clinical application of x-ray safety, digital imaging, and evaluation. This combination class, is generally offered on Saturdays, and is on a limited space basis. This course is ideal for both dental personnel and dentists who would like their staff to be x-ray certified. Prerequisite: BLS Certification AHA or ARC, ask us about BLS requirements.

This course provides healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Instructor-led Training Instructors deliver both the cognitive portion of training and the psychomotor component of thorough skills practice and testing in a classroom setting. Availability is limited as we only offer 6 spots per class. This allows for a balanced instructor to student ratio for quality instruction of the class. This is an American Heart Association certification course.

Qualitative test for N-95 Masks. This will help bring you in compliance with OSHA regulations. We can perform the initial fit test as well as the annual fit test. We will use the TSI Portacount machine to fit test one N95 mask, Each additional mask is $20. You must provide the mask you wish to be test on. Due to the way the test is done the mask will not be able to be used after the test is complete. A report will be generated and emailed to you detailing the results of the fit test. For best results please do not have facial hair or wear makeup.
Learn to place dental implant using both CBCT guided as well as free hand techniques. Bone grafting and crestal approach sinus augmentation using various techniques including PRF. This is a custom tailored course, directly with Dr. Michael Narodovich, hands on with your own patients. This is ideal for dentists who have taken courses but do not feel comfortable grafting and placing implant on their own. This course is 100% customizable to your needs and learning style.
Dental Assistants jobs are expected to increase by 15.3% between 2018 and 2028.
Starting pay is between $19 - $23 depending on your state and employer.
Dental assisting gives you an opportunity to have a work/life balance. Full time, part time, and temping positions allows for a flexible work schedule. Not to mentions most offices have evenings, weekends, and holidays off.
Being a Dental Assistant is the stepping stone into the dental field. You will explore a variety of career options the dental field has to offer. As a dental assistant you will have the knowledge to make an easy transition to another role in dentistry.
