Is your infection control course board approved?

Yes, our provider number is IC157 you can look us up on the Dental Board Website https://www.dbc.ca.gov/applicants/course_rs.pdf

Do you accept financial aid?

We do not accept financial aid, but here are some valid reasons why! We wanted to create an amazing opportunity for those who desire to enter the dental field. We believe that students not only deserve a great education, but also an affordable and convenient one. Rather than opting to make our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance. We chose to offer affordable tuition prices; payment plans are available for the assisting and front office training programs.

How much does a Dental Assistant make?

Wages vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.

What distinguishes your program from the conventional college program?

Our intensive program will prepare you for employment in just 9 weeks, in contrast to other courses that may require as much as 9 months. Although your initial salary will remain consistent regardless of the institution you choose, our tuition is considerably more affordable, allowing you to save over $18,000.

What is an accelerated program?

Roseville Dental Academy is a 'hands-on learning program.' We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a dental office rather than a traditional classroom. There is a hands-on portion to every part of our course. Our classes begin with a lecture/class discussion, but the majority of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of Dental Assisting or Front Office.

How can a short program be as effective and a longer program?

As a newly hired Dental Assistant, your employer will have an expectation that you will know the basic skills of Dental Assisting. It’s those fundamental skills that we focus on teaching our students. Our custom designed curriculum sets students up for success in knowing exactly what dentists will expect them to know.

What should I do if I lose my certificate?

In the event that you lose or misplace your certificate, please give us a call.  We will need some information from you, specify when you completed the course, the location and where you would like the certificate to be mailed. The cost for this service is $25.

Announcement

As of January 1st, 2025

Unlicensed dental assistants must successfully complete a Board-approved 8-hour infection control course before engaging in any basic supportive dental procedures that may involve exposure to blood, saliva, or other potentially infectious materials. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the unlicensed dental assistant fulfills this requirement.

Unlicensed Dental Assistants are now allowed to perform coronal polishing after completion of a coronal polishing course by an approved course provider.
