Announcement

As of January 1st, 2025

Unlicensed dental assistants must successfully complete a Board-approved 8-hour infection control course before engaging in any basic supportive dental procedures that may involve exposure to blood, saliva, or other potentially infectious materials. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the unlicensed dental assistant fulfills this requirement.

Unlicensed Dental Assistants are now allowed to perform coronal polishing after completion of a coronal polishing course by an approved course provider.
